Classroom Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Summerstown, who are seeking a friendly, warm, and creative Classroom Assistant to join their fantastic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to make a real impact on the education and well-being of their pupils. As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be an integral part of the classroom team, providing high-quality support to pupils both in class and in small group settings. You will work alongside dedicated teachers to create an engaging and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, supportive, and a reliable team player. In addition to classroom support, you will also assist in the school’s wraparound care provision on certain days, further enhancing the pupils’ experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support in the classroom, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Work with small groups of children to provide targeted support, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the wraparound care provision, ensuring pupils are well-supported during before and after-school care times.
- Help create an inclusive, safe, and positive environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure that all children receive the best possible education and support.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- The ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently when needed.
- A creative, flexible, and positive approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
- An enthusiastic and reliable individual who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment.
