Dyslexia Support Assistant (Y4)
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children with Dyslexia and literacy difficulties?
A primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted literacy intervention for a Year 4 pupil with Dyslexia, helping them build confidence in reading and writing.
The Role:
- Work one-to-one with a Year 4 pupil to improve reading, spelling, and writing skills.
- Use phonics-based interventions such as Read Write Inc. or Toe by Toe.
- Provide visual and kinaesthetic learning strategies to aid comprehension.
- Help develop confidence and engagement in literacy-based activities.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor progress.
About You:
- Experience supporting children with Dyslexia or literacy difficulties is desirable.
- Knowledge of phonics interventions and multisensory learning techniques.
- A patient, encouraging, and supportive approach to SEN learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate young learners.
