A primary school in Selhurst is seeking a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with communication difficulties and behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting emotional regulation and alternative communication methods.

The Role:

• One-to-one support for a pupil in Year 2 with behaviour and communication challenges
• Use of visual prompts, social stories, and consistent routines
• Support emotional regulation throughout the school day
• Work closely with the SENCO, teacher, and external agencies
• Provide structured and calm support during lessons and transitions

About You:

• Experience working with children with SEN, especially communication or behaviour needs
• Calm, consistent and patient approach
• Knowledge of PECS or Makaton is desirable
• Team player with strong communication skills
