ASD Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a warm and inclusive primary school in the heart of Lambeth, who are currently seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, term-time role ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a genuine interest in inclusive education.
This rewarding position involves working closely with children in the school’s dedicated SEND provision, delivering one-to-one support and structured interventions that cater to individual learning needs. You’ll be an essential part of a close-knit team, helping to promote independence, emotional regulation, and academic achievement for pupils with ASD.
Key Information:
- Role: ASD Teaching Assistant
- Location: Lambeth, South London
- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: £89 – £105 per day PAYE (depending on experience)
- Hours: 8:30am – 16:00pm | Monday to Friday
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Offering tailored support to pupils with ASD, helping them engage with both classroom and resource-base activities.
- Assisting in planning and delivering individualised learning plans and interventions.
- Supporting the class teacher in creating a calm and inclusive learning environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils to support emotional and social development.
- Collaborating with parents, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet each child’s specific needs.
