SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD Support Y3
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

A welcoming primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role focuses on helping the pupil develop social skills, emotional regulation, and access to learning activities.
The Role:
- Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with ASD in Year 3
- Support communication using visual timetables and structured routines
- Encourage social interaction and emotional resilience
- Adapt classroom activities to meet the pupil’s needs
- Collaborate with SENCO, teachers, and external specialists
About You:
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD
- Patient, empathetic, and consistent approach
- Knowledge of visual communication tools is desirable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
