A welcoming primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role focuses on helping the pupil develop social skills, emotional regulation, and access to learning activities.

The Role:

• Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with ASD in Year 3
• Support communication using visual timetables and structured routines
• Encourage social interaction and emotional resilience
• Adapt classroom activities to meet the pupil’s needs
• Collaborate with SENCO, teachers, and external specialists

About You:

• Previous experience supporting children with ASD
• Patient, empathetic, and consistent approach
• Knowledge of visual communication tools is desirable
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
