Behaviour Mentor – Secondary PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)

Salary: £100 – £120 Daily (PAYE)

Ortus Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a supportive and well-established Secondary PRU based in Whetstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to inspire positive change and help students develop both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

• Delivering one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions
• Supporting students with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies
• Contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Acting as a role model, promoting resilience, self-esteem, and motivation
• De-escalating challenging situations and supporting behaviour interventions

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs or behavioural challenges
• Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Relevant qualifications in youth work, psychology, education or related fields (desirable)
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
