Ortus Recruitment is excited to be working in partnership with a highly supportive and inclusive primary school in Tooting, who are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school that truly values every child and promotes a nurturing, inclusive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

• Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position – Monday to Friday
• Working 1:1 or with small groups of children with special educational needs
• Assisting with tailored lesson delivery and personalised support plans
• Collaborating with teaching staff and SEN specialists to meet individual student needs
• Supporting classroom inclusion and promoting positive behaviour and engagement

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting (essential)
• A calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for inclusive education and helping children overcome barriers to learning
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing

Application Details:

This role is offered on a PAYE basis with no umbrella company deductions. Competitive daily pay rate based on experience and qualifications. (£89 – £105 per day)
