SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – SHEFFIELD

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at one of our welcoming and inclusive Sheffield-based primary schools.
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, helping each child to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted support and interventions for children with SEN
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils’ access to the curriculum, adapting materials when necessary
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEN (in schools or other settings)
- A nurturing, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and child development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
