About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences for all pupils. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children, with a desire to make a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher
• Provide individual and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment
• Help with classroom management and administrative tasks
• Support students with their social, emotional and personal development
• Supervise pupils during break times and school outings, as required

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about education and child development
• Kind, patient, and approachable
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Organised and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing classroom needs

Essential Requirements:

• Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting)
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• A positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Desirable:

• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience supporting children with SEND
