Job Summary:

We are currently recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school in the Brent area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
• Assist the class teacher with daily activities and differentiation
• Support pupils’ social and emotional well-being
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCo to implement personalised learning plans
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN (school or alternative settings)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Ability to adapt to different learning needs and behaviours

Desirable Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE, NCFE)
• Knowledge of EHCPs and intervention strategies
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
