Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Croydon)
Salary: £89–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils across the curriculum. You will work closely with class teachers to create an engaging, safe, and positive learning environment, providing individual or small group support where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering effective lessons
• Support pupils in their academic, emotional, and social development
• Work one-to-one with pupils who require additional support
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Prepare resources and materials for activities
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred)
• A patient, caring, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn and contribute to school life
• A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
