The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and helping pupils achieve their full potential. You will:

• Assist in delivering high-quality lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Provide 1:1 and small group support across core subjects
• Support children with special educational needs (SEN), including those with EHCPs
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a nurturing classroom environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff to track and celebrate pupil progress
• Get involved in school life – from assemblies to school trips and themed days

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children (ideally in a school setting)
• A proactive, caring and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to support pupils with additional or complex needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable:

• SEN experience or training
• Relevant TA qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3)
• Familiarity with EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum
