Behaviour Support Assistant Wanted – Primary School
Location: Wembley | Start Date: September 2025| Contract: Full-time/Long-term

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We’re currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.

The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with children who require extra support in managing their behaviour and emotional regulation. This is a rewarding opportunity to build trusting relationships and implement strategies that help pupils thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies
  • Foster a safe, calm, and inclusive atmosphere for learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
  • Support with transitions and de-escalation techniques when needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour in a school or care setting
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management principles

Bonus: Training and/or experience in positive manual handling techniques for children would be highly beneficial, though not essential.
