We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Wembley. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a supportive team that values the wellbeing and growth of every child.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, helping to create a calm and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural challenges
- Implementing tailored behaviour management strategies
- Creating a safe and structured space for learning
- Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Assisting with transitions and using de-escalation techniques where necessary
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviour in schools or care settings
- Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
- A strong communicator and a true team player
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding and behaviour management practices
Bonus: Experience or training in positive manual handling techniques for children is highly desirable, but not essential.
