Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £89-£100 a day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive team at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Croydon. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support children’s learning, emotional well-being, and personal development across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEND or EAL needs
• Support classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Prepare resources and assist in planning learning activities
• Help monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime duties when required
• Promote the school’s values and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (school or childcare experience preferred)
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
• Understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare
