Salary: £89 – £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

A primary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils to support learning and development.
• Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining a well-organised learning space.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
• Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment.
• Supervise children during break and lunchtimes as required.
• Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupil progress.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
• A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
