Ortus Recruitment is partnering with a vibrant, inclusive primary school in the heart of Brixton to find a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated support team in September 2025. As an LSA, you will work closely with children who require additional academic or emotional support helping them access the curriculum to build confidence and succeed in the classroom. Location: Brixton
Pay: £89–£110/day (PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Start Date: September 2025

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small group settings
• Helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically
• Working alongside class teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons and resources
• Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

Candidate Essentials

• A caring, patient, and proactive personality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ideally, some experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs)
• A genuine passion for helping children thrive
