Ortus Recruitment is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Roehampton, who are currently looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team immediately. This full-time position involves supporting a bright and curious pupil who needs additional guidance to feel confident and engaged in the classroom.

👧 About the Role:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Reception-aged pupil, helping them settle into routines, engage in learning, and build social confidence
• Assist with daily classroom activities, play-based learning, and structured tasks under the guidance of the class teacher
• Help manage transitions, encourage positive behaviour, and create a calm and encouraging learning environment
• Adapt your support style to meet the child’s individual needs while promoting independence and confidence

✅ Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience working in Early Years or Key Stage 1, ideally in a 1:1 or classroom support role
• Naturally warm, patient, and encouraging – someone who can connect easily with young children
• Comfortable supporting a child’s emotional and social development as much as their academic progress
• Able to work effectively in a busy classroom and communicate well with staff, children, and parents
• Holds a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one promptly)

💼Benefits:

• Competitive PAYE daily rate: £85 – £105 per day
• Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
