Year 5 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) – Kings Cross

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with autism at a supportive and welcoming primary school in Kings Cross, London.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a Year 5 child with autism during lessons and activities
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning and behaviour plans
• Encourage the child’s independence, social skills, and engagement in learning
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with autism and/or additional learning needs (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to individual needs
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
