Behaviour Support Assistant – Primary School (Edgware)
We are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a primary school based in Edgware. This is a full-time role supporting a child with behavioural needs, including managing outbursts and disruptive behaviour, and helping them to engage positively in their learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with behavioural challenges
- Manage disruptive behaviour calmly and effectively
- Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and self-regulation
- Support teaching staff in delivering tailored support plans
- Act as a positive role model within the school environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (sports coaching, youth mentoring, or similar backgrounds are highly desirable)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine interest in supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development

- Contract: Full-time, term-time only
- Start Date: Immediate/ASAP
