A thriving mainstream primary school in Battersea is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with autism. This is a full-time, 1:1 support role offering consistency and early intervention at a crucial stage in the child’s development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support throughout the school day in a Reception class
• Support communication, routine and social interaction through tailored strategies
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, class teacher, and parents
• Use visual aids, routines and structured play to engage the pupil
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with autism, ideally in an EYFS or KS1 setting
• Calm, nurturing, and patient approach to learning support
• Able to work independently and adapt to changing pupil needs
• Knowledge of PECS, visual timetables or Makaton (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK
