Our partner primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who have SEMH/EBD needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can bring energy, empathy, and patience to the classroom environment.

Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant

As a Behaviour Mentor TA, you will support pupils across the KS2 curriculum, helping them to access lessons, manage their emotions, and stay engaged in learning. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop both academically and personally.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
· Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
· Assisting with core subjects and classroom activities
· Encouraging participation in sports and enrichment sessions
· Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and social skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

While full training can be provided, candidates with the following background or qualifications are highly encouraged to apply:

· Youth Work or Mentoring experience
· Sports Coaching or a strong sporting background
· Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
· Degree-qualified, ideally in Psychology or a related subject
· Prior experience supporting children in an educational setting
