Ortus Recruitment are working with a delightful Primary School in Brixton who are looking for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a Year 2 child who has Autism. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide a nurturing, kind and safe environment for the pupil, while motivating and inspiring them to work to their full potential.

The Senior Leadership Team pride themselves on running a very welcoming and supportive environment, and you will receive plenty of guidance from the Class Teacher and wider school staff.

We are looking for:

• Someone with previous experience working with Special Educational Needs, ideally Autism
• An energetic individual who is passionate about the education sector
• A can-do attitude and willingness to support in other areas of the classroom
• The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
• Strong communication skills with both children and staff

This school is based in the vibrant and diverse community of Brixton. They aim to provide all children with the best start in life and help them develop the confidence and enthusiasm for learning that will support them throughout their education and beyond.

This role is offered at a pay rate of £89–£105 per day (PAYE).
