We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant with primary school experience who can use their knowledge and confidence to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate will be able to manage behaviour effectively, nurture social and emotional development, and build strong, trusting relationships with both pupils and staff.

This role is based in a welcoming, mainstream Primary School in Lambeth, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school places children at the centre of its ethos and benefits from excellent transport links, including nearby bus routes and local train and underground stations.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planned learning activities
• Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, including autism
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
• Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Lead small-group interventions to raise attainment and support SEN learners
• Support pupils during transitions around the school
• Help maintain a well-organised and engaging classroom space

Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN or autism
• Understanding of child development and effective educational practices
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
• Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to helping children thrive

Pay:

• £89 – £105 per day (PAYE) — no umbrella companies or hidden deductions.
