We are currently looking for an Early Years Assistant to support a Reception class in a mainstream primary school in Streatham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in the Early Years sector and strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.

Details about the Early Years Role:

• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm
• No weekends
• Term-time, Long-term, Full-time
• £93–£108 per day (PAYE)
• Potential opportunity to be placed on a teacher training programme

Responsibilities of the Early Years Assistant:

• Create and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Encourage learning through play
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Observe and assess children’s development and progress
• Work collaboratively with other educators to plan and coordinate activities
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and incidents
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns

Skill Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework
• Behaviour management experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children and the setting
