In this role, you will play a key part in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and participate fully in daily school activities. You will be supported every step of the way by an experienced, friendly, and highly collaborative staff team who are keen to welcome a new member into their community.

About the Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support to children with mild autism
• Assist pupils with daily classroom routines and learning tasks
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic development
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong understanding of SEN needs, particularly autism
• Possesses a calm, patient, and supportive nature
• Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships with children
• Is adaptable, proactive, and able to work confidently in a new environment
• Shows genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
