Ortus Recruitment is proud to represent a primary school located in Tulse Hill, Lambeth Borough, currently seeking a Full-time Inclusion Support Mentor to join their dynamic team for an immediate start. This role is ideal for recent graduates, Teaching Assistants, or Learning Support Assistants who are eager to support a young pupil with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, becoming a valued member of staff who promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Role Requirements:

• Experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Confidence in de-escalating challenging situations.
• Previous experience supporting secondary-aged students is an advantage.
• Immediate availability to start.
• Ability to commute to Tulse Hill, Lambeth Borough.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support students displaying challenging behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist students with their academic learning, particularly in core subjects such as Maths, Science, and English.
• Support or deliver interventions designed to meet EHCP requirements.
• Prior experience as an Inclusion or Behaviour Mentor is preferred.
• Training in Team Teach is beneficial but not essential.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Confident in managing difficult or high-pressure situations.
• Available for an immediate start.
• Able to commute to Tulse Hill, Lambeth Borough.
