Committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment, the school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic professional to provide one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, your main duties will include:

• Providing tailored one-to-one support to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring full access to the curriculum
• Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
• Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development, helping to create a positive and inclusive school environment
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
• Assisting in the delivery and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant qualifications in SEN or a related field
• Experience working with children with a range of SEN in a school or educational setting
• Strong understanding of different learning styles and confidence adapting methods accordingly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children with diverse needs
