Ortus Recruitment is excited to be supporting a welcoming primary school in Lambeth, who are seeking an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, motivated, and eager to gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs while developing a career in education.

This is a highly rewarding position, offering the chance to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil with Autism, alongside additional needs such as speech and language difficulties, ADHD, or behavioural challenges. About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, build confidence, and develop positive behaviour strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the class teacher during lessons
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning
• Helping manage behaviour and encourage engagement
• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
• Providing tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs
• Supporting both academic progress and emotional development
