Ortus Recruitment is supporting a vibrant and well-connected mainstream primary school in Merton that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately.This role offers exposure across the primary age range and is well suited to graduates or aspiring teachers who are confident, proactive, and eager to make a real impact in the classroom.

About the Role

• Teaching Assistant position within a mainstream primary school
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including SEN support
• Working 1:1 with pupils and leading small group interventions
• Assisting class teachers to support learning in core subjects
• Helping to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday

• Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based experience preferred)
• A confident and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a large staff team
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable, committed, and ready to get involved in school life
