Ortus Recruitment is working with an ‘Outstanding’ mainstream primary school located in the London borough of Wandsworth. Our partnered school is looking to employ a Teaching Assistant to support within Year 1 in a general capacity, as well as support students with low attainment or SEN on a one-to-one basis. There are a small number of children in each class who are Autistic. You will be assisting the teacher in the delivery of lessons, leading group interventions, and engaging in lunchtime activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proactive and reliable
• Passionate about working with children
• 3–6 months classroom experience (desirable)
• SEN experience
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree educated

Candidates Must:

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Provide 2 references
