Ortus Recruitment is working with a fantastic provision in Brixton seeking an experienced SEN professional to support a non-verbal 16-year-old with Down Syndrome on a full-time basis. This is a highly rewarding, hands-on role for someone who genuinely understands complex SEN needs and thrives on building meaningful connections. The right candidate will play a vital role in supporting communication, independence, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate:

• Has proven SEN experience (essential)
• Has worked with non-verbal pupils and/or Down Syndrome
• Is confident, patient, and proactive
• Can commit to a full-time role
• Is available to trial immediately

What’s on offer:

• £93 – £105 per day PAYE
• Immediate start
• Minimum one-week paid trial for experienced candidates (The successful candidate will move onto a full-time and long-term contract)
