Classroom Assistant | Wandsworth | £93 – £105 PAYE per day | Full Time | Immediate Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a committed Classroom Assistant to support pupils with Autism within their dedicated Resource Base. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mainstream primary school with a strong, supportive leadership team that places pupil wellbeing and achievement at the heart of everything they do. This is a full-time role, running Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, with an immediate start available.

The Role:

• Supporting children diagnosed with Autism in both the Resource Base and mainstream classrooms
• Working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning and behavioural support
• Providing targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) where required
• Helping to create a structured, positive, and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Recent experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism and/or EAL, or a strong interest in developing these skills
• A strong understanding of child development and how children learn
• High expectations for pupil progress and achievement
• Confident communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to use ICT to support learning
• A proactive team player with a flexible, positive, and solution-focused attitude
• Willingness to fully engage with the school’s ethos and values
