Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school for a Level 3 CACHE qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and dedicated individual who is confident supporting young children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and assisting with personal care where required.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within Nursery and Reception classes
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, including SEN pupils
• Assist with personal care in a professional and respectful manner
• Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through play-based learning
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment

Requirements

• Level 3 CACHE qualification (or equivalent) – Essential
• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
