Ortus Recruitment are working with a bright and friendly Primary School located in Stratham, SW16; who are seeking an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team, supporting pupils with ASC and other SEN/ SEMH.

The role requires an individual who is compassionate, flexible and reliable, in order to effectively support the pupils they work with on a one-to-one basis, encouraging them to engage with classroom activities, peers and overcome social emotional barriers.

This role is ASAP start, continuing into the new Academic Year, with the potential to turn permanent.

Candidates must:

– Have a Level 3 Qualification i.e. Teaching/ Psychology degree

– Be compassionate, reliable and proactive

– Have prior experience with SEN (desirable)

– Have 3-6 months classroom experience

– Have the right to work in the UK

– Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service/ willing to apply for a new one
