SEN Teaching Assistant – Acton
Location: Acton, West London
Pay: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Immediate start
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Acton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role
You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO. The role involves supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs
- Implement behaviour and learning support strategies
- Support emotional regulation and social development
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Encourage independence and confidence
- Maintain clear communication with staff and parents
Requirements
- Previous SEN experience in a school or care setting preferred
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
