A primary school in the London Borough of Merton is looking to appoint a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential to transition into a permanent role thereafter.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and who are keen to gain valuable, hands-on experience within a school setting.

Role overview:

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of additional needs
• Assisting children with both their academic progress and social development
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Delivering targeted interventions and adapting resources where necessary
• Offering wider classroom support when required

What we’re looking for:

• A graduate (Psychology or related degree is highly desirable)
• A strong interest in working with children with SEN and SEMH
• Good foundational knowledge of Maths and English
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Previous experience working with children is advantageous
