Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a Psychology Qualification to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Southwark.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a positive impact in the classroom. Whether you have mainstream TA experience or a background supporting children with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils in class on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
• Helping children stay engaged and make progress in learning
• Help with lunch time support where needed
• Supporting pupils with SEN including Autism, ADHD, speech & language, and SEMH needs
• Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
• Experience supporting SEN is highly desirable
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Available full-time and able to trial immediately
