SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 2)
Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for two Year 3 pupils in an Ofsted Outstanding rated, five-form entry primary school based in West Drayton.
- Pupil 1 (Girl): Down Syndrome, seeks praise and attention, may throw food and echo/repeat phrases
- Pupil 2 (Boy): Autism and anxiety, requires a calm and supportive approach
You will play a key role in supporting their learning, social interaction, and emotional development, while working closely with the class teacher and SEN team.

Requirements:
- Proven experience (minimum 3–6 months) working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting
- A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
- SEN experience (Down Syndrome, Autism, or similar needs)
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Two professional references
