A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis for a September 2026 start or sooner for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s academic, social, and emotional development within a positive primary school environment.

KS2 Teaching Assistant – Role Details

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• Working hours: 08:30am – 4:00pm
• September 2026 start (or sooner for the right candidate)
• Long-term opportunity until July 2027
• Pay rate: £93 – £110 per day PAYE
• Based in the London Borough of Lambeth
• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 2
• Providing general classroom support alongside targeted SEND support

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Have strong experience supporting KS2 pupils
• Be confident supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs
• Be proactive, adaptable, and confident supporting mixed-ability learners
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Have a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils across KS2 during lessons and independent learning
• Delivering targeted interventions in Maths, Literacy, and phonics
• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
• Adapting learning activities to suit mixed-ability learners
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence in the classroom
• Assisting the Class Teacher with classroom preparation and organisation
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teaching staff
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
