Teaching Assistant

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the classroom, helping them access learning and reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher, supporting whole-class learning, small group interventions, and providing one-to-one support where required.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with their learning and development within the classroom.
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Assist in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support the school’s values and expectations.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet pupils’ needs.
- Help pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, youth work, coaching, or support setting.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
