We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stonebridge for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive team.

The Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to engage positively in learning and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-to-one and small group behavioural support.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Assisting teachers in creating an engaging learning environment.
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual support plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, care, coaching, or similar settings).
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
