Ortus Recruitment are excited to announce our partnered mainstream primary school with an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report are urgently seeking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant with 1:1 Special Education Needs (SEN) experience. This is a great opportunity to make an impact for the vulnerable pupils by ensuring they receive the education they need by helping them focus in classroom environment as well as helping them develop socially with other pupils. The Role:

• To support the classroom teacher to give their student the best education in a happy, safe environment.
• To work on a 1:1 or group basis with pupils who have Special Educational Needs
• To have good communications skills to enable you to report back to the teachers and parents with regards to the pupils progress
• To support with break time duties
• Completion of daily records for pupils
• Classroom preparation for the following school day
• This is a Full-Time position Monday – Friday (08:30am-16:00pm)
• £75-£90 per day PAYE

Essential:

• Have experience of working with SEN children within an educational setting
• Current Enhanced DBS check or willing to undergo checks
• Be passionate about working with children that have SEN and be determined to make sure that their learning experience is as comfortable and positive as possible
• Be caring, kind and compassionate
• Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
