Ortus Recruitment are liaising with an 1-form entry, Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding‘ Primary School who are looking for an experienced Autism LSA to join their supportive Year 2 team. The school is well-located in a lovely, quiet residential area within walking distance of a number of bus routes, parks, cafes and shops.

The Autism LSA role:

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 child who has autism, offering academic support and promoting positive social and emotional development. The ideal individual will have a firm but fair approach to teaching, be assertive, calm and patient.

Main Expectations:

• 3-6 months experience working with SEN children (required)
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree or Cache Level 3 qualification (desirable)
• Competent numeracy/literacy skills
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
