This mainstream, Ofsted-rated ‘good’ school is looking for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, who is encouraging, assertive and reliable about learning and development. The school is situated in the vibrant London borough of Camden surrounded by shops, restaurants and easily accessible transportation links.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Year 6 as well as adept knowledge of the KS2 curriculum to effectively engage children in lessons and interventions in order to raise attainment and prepare pupils for SATs. The role will also involve working on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Global Delay.

Year 6 Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3-6 months Year 6 classroom experience
• 3+ months SEN experience
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies or a Cache Level qualification
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Adept knowledge of KS2 curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references

Year 6 Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85 per day
• Located in London Borough of Camden
