Ortus Recruitment are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic graduate Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Barnet. The school is in an ideal location within walking distance from public transport links, parks, cafes and restaurants.

The successful Teaching Assistant will assist the class teacher with behaviour management, marking work, lesson planning and liaising with parents, as well as leading 1:1 and small group interventions i.e. numeracy and literacy and engaging students confidently with the curriculum to help them obtain set targets and raise attainment.

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months Primary school experience (desirable)
• Strong academic background – minimum 2:2 degree in relevant subject
• Strong level of maths and English
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
