• KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant position

• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85 per day
• Located in London Borough of Barnet

Ortus Recruitment are excited to present the oppurtunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to join the KS1 team in a diverse and inclusive primary school in Barnet.

The Teaching Assistant will provide support in a classroom setting by effectively managing behaviour, keeping the classroom organised and working on a 1:1 basis with SEN children or leading interventions in small groups to raise attainment.

This is a fantastic oppurtunity for an individual looking to progress within a school setting and gain invaluable experience working alongside a motivating Senior Leadership Team, with the potential to become permanent and/or go on to do Teacher Training in partnership with the school.

The successful individual will:

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong acedemic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
