Ortus Recruitment are working on behalf of a primary school located in the Croydon Borough, that caters for children from 3-11 years old, it is a vibrant and welcoming school that focuses on improving the core skills of their student and is well known for having a welcoming, approachable, and supportive staff.

The Primary School are looking for an experienced teacher to join their team as an intervention teacher for a year 6 class.

This is a full-time role for around 15 children so the class can be streamed.

The teacher needs to:

• Have strong behaviour management strategies

• Be firm and consistent

• Be organised

• Be able to use the Y6 teacher’s plans, adapting them for the children in their group

• Be a strong teacher and provide effective marking and feedback to raise standards

• Understand the requirements of the Y6 curriculum and have good subject knowledge

Candidates must be available immediately with no notice period and must be available for a trial day with the school.
