EYFS Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced and proactive Early Years Teaching Assistant looking to have a positive impact on children’s lives and aid in their social, emotional and acedemic development?
This is a 3-form-entry, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Primary School located in London Borough of Brent – a dynamic and diverse area with an abundance of underground tube links and bus routes within walking distance of the school to ensure easy accessibility including Queens Park station and Kensal Rise station.
This is a fulfilling opportunity to be involved in the learning and development of children by confidently leading reading and phonics interventions in small groups and working on a 1:1 basis to support children with SEN.
You will be consistently aided and encouraged by the Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff members, with the potential to progress on to a Teacher Training programme if deemed an ideal candidate.
EYFS Teaching Assistant role:
- Have a nurturing and patient approach to teaching
- Leading 1:1 and small group interventions i.e. reading and phonics
- Encourage participation from SEN pupil and support them where necessary
- Engage students confidently with the curriculum and help them raise attainment for KS1
Main Expectations:
- 3+ months experience supporting Early Years
- Have a level 3 qualification, e.g. CACHE level 3 or a degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
