Job Description:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: London Borough of Barnet
• Start date: Immediate
• Pay rate: £70 – £85 per day (PAYE)

Ortus Recruitment are recruiting a resilient and proactive Learning Support Assistant to support in a Year 4 class.

The successful candidate will support a Year 4 child with Global delay, working at a Year 2 level and SEMH. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic and have a nurturing approach to learning and development. You will also be responsible for leading numeracy, literacy and reading interventions in small groups to raise attainment.

Learning Support Assistant Expectations:

• 3-6 months KS2 classroom experience
• 3-6 months SEN experience
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
